What is interactional modification?
Modified interaction refers to modifications to the interactional structures of NS-NNS discourse, and they are usually in the form of clarification requests, confirmation checks, repetition, and among others. For example, The NNS uttered “Um?”, indicating that he or she had the difficulty to understand.
