As for the movie, it is very flawed, but you know what, it isn’t that bad. It’s not as good as Pirates of the Caribbean but it’s better than Country Bears. The film does have a fairly creepy atmosphere to it, especially that truly scary scene in the tomb. However, The Haunted Mansion isn’t without its flaws.

(Side note – I was floored to discover while researching this post that the Haunted Mansion ride at Disneyland was modeled after a real home, the Shipley-Lydecker House in Baltimore, Maryland. Sadly, it no longer stands, but you can see an image of what it used to look like here.
